President's Message

Welcome to the CLEARS Central Chapter!

Welcome to the CLEARS Central Chapter!
The Central Chapter is made up of Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Mono, Merced, Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Kings, Tulare, and Kern Counties. Over 300 members representing management and supervising staff of police, sheriff and criminal justice agencies from throughout the State of California belong to CLEARS.

I am honored to represent the Central Chapter at the local and state level of Records Supervisors, Clerks and other Law Enforcement Personnel. I have benefited from the training provided by the Department of Justice, FBI, DMV and the many other qualified trainers throughout the State of California. This training has enhanced my supervisory and management skills as well as benefited my department.

By becoming a CLEARS member you will not only benefit from the training but from the networking with members throughout the state. The networking with members is invaluable, especially when you have a question on any program, new law or procedure your agency may be looking to follow. I also make sure to send any updates from the State Legislature or new procedures that may benefit your agency. Such as this year’s new laws on AB2298, Ammunition, detention certificates, Prop 57.

CLEARS also has a conference once a year where you can learn new ideas, meet vendors who have programs to benefit your agency, talk to DOJ  and ask questions among other agencies such as DMV and Cal Pers.   This year our conference is on Pismo Beach at the Cliffs November 13 -17 2017.
